Cobra Trak Q system has proved itself to Thatcham, the dealers and the public in the UK and Europe (the system picks up local coverage even if it leaves the UK). If the car is moved without the key, the system informs Cobra and then is used by the Police to track the car. Affordale subscription cost and free European cover makes this an attractive system.

CobraTrak Q is a simple entry-level stolen vehicle recovery system, but still offers Europe-wide coverage and an alert service when unauthorised movement of the vehicle is detected. The hardware is based on the Thatcham  listed Cobra ICD10 series.

Auto Tec recommend this product, as it uses state of the art GPS tracking and has a dedicated control room and are one of the only systems to cover Europe. The Cobra can also be transfered from vehicle to vehicle.

On discovery of vehicle theft (or verification of vehicle theft after an alert for unauthorised vehicle movement) the owner must report the theft to the police and obtain a crime reference number, and then contact the Cobra 24 hour control to activate the stolen vehicle tracking procedure. This basic procedure applies for all systems offering stolen vehicle tracking.

What happens when my vehicle is stolen?

In the event of a theft alert, the Cobra 24/7 control room will contact the owner of the vehicle. On confirmation by the vehicle owner of an actual theft, the control room will begin tracking and monitoring the vehicle on their control screens and will liaise with the police to help recover the vehicle. All systems provide coverage across Europe.

With CobraTrak Q and CobraTrak Q attivo, a theft may be reported by the vehicle user or may be alerted by a movement device integral to the device installed in the vehicle.
